Meaning of Negotiations

Negotiations speaks of the words that bring people closer. The card evokes a discussion in which each person sets out their needs and you move toward a compromise: a mediation, a difficult conversation, an arrangement to pin down. It says nothing about the outcome; it shows the path of dialogue.

Among the Mars cards, it is the constructive side of conflict: the energy of opposition becomes the engine of discussion. It invites you to prepare your priorities, listen before answering, and put forward concrete proposals rather than reproaches.

Its downside is false dialogue: talking without listening, or accepting a shaky agreement that you will regret.

Negotiations in your life

In love

In an emotional bond, Negotiations invites a real conversation between the two of you, where you set out your needs and look for an arrangement that works.

At work

For a file in progress, the card evokes a negotiation: prepare your priorities, hear the other side’s constraints, and propose options.

Negotiations in a reading

In its position

Negotiations opens the path of dialogue: a discussion is to be held, with clear priorities and real listening on the other side.

Mars series

Action: drive, disagreements, tensions to channel.

Malice, Lawsuit, Despotism, Enemies, Fire, Accident

The Belline cards help you look at a situation from another angle: they predict nothing, and the choice remains yours.

Its place in the deck

Negotiations has number 36 and takes its place with Mars, the planet of cards 32 to 38. It faces Malice, Lawsuit, Despotism, Enemies, and Fire: in this register of tensions, it is the card that reaches out a hand.

Reflecting on Negotiations

A question

What is truly essential to you in this discussion, and what are you ready to let go of?

A gesture

Before a delicate discussion, note your two priorities and one possible concession, then open with a question rather than a statement.

Where the sources disagree

  • Tone of the cards: A ranking set by the site from the name of each card, with no old source: 21 supportive cards, 14 demanding, 18 neutral. It gives the tone of a reading, never an answer or a yes or no.
  • Dominant series: When one planet comes up more often than the others in a reading (at least two cards), its series colors the interpretation. A modern reading rule, described by several guides; cards outside the series are not part of the count.
  • Images of the cards: The drawings attributed to the mage Edmond (died 1881) are old, but the cards published since 1961 and the Mucem photographs are not under a free license. The site draws its own pictograms and reproduces no card.

Frequently asked questions about Negotiations

What does Negotiations mean in the Belline oracle?

Negotiations means the negotiation and dialogue that seek an agreement. It invites you to prepare your priorities, listen, and propose, without prejudging the result.

Does Negotiations guarantee an agreement?

A reading guarantees nothing. Negotiations describes a direction, that of discussion, and reminds you that listening makes an agreement more likely without ensuring it.
