On a phone lying flat
On screen, the “Full screen” button enlarges the chart and keeps the phone awake when the browser allows it. Lay the device flat, at medium brightness, and hold the pendulum a few centimeters (about an inch) above the starting point. Then tap the sector it points to, to show it larger.
To print
Each chart is available as an A4 PDF, with a circle or fan 180 mm (about 7 inches) wide. Print at 100%, without “fit to page”: the control segment at the bottom of the sheet should measure five centimeters (2 inches) with a ruler. Thick paper, laid flat, keeps the drawing sharp.
Blind tests have done no better than chance: the movement is thought to come from small involuntary movements of the hand. Never ask a pendulum a question about health, money, or the law: see a professional.
Pendulum charts: your questions
Which chart should you choose to begin?
The beginner chart, a fan of four sectors: yes, no, maybe, and rephrase. It sets up the basic gestures and teaches you to spot a vague question, before finer charts such as the alphabet or the percentage dial. For a question of your own, make your chart with your own words, from two to twelve sectors.
What is a pendulum dial?
A dial is a graduated fan chart: the pendulum starts from the starting point, at the bottom, and points to a value. Versana’s has eleven graduations, from zero to one hundred. It is used to place a feeling, the appeal an option has for you that day, never a probability or a number assigned to a person.
Why are some charts not available here?
Versana draws no charts about the body, foods, or remedies, nor charts of event dates or of people. A pendulum does not replace the advice of a professional, and a question about a third party touches on their privacy. The charts stay turned toward your own choices.
A chart in your own words
