For you For you, this chart becomes a personal scale: it helps you gauge your enthusiasm or hesitation of the day, never the chances that an event will occur.
How to use it
Choose a specific option and ask: “How much does this option speak to me today?”, then let the pendulum settle.
Read the percentage it points to as a level of buy-in for the moment, from 0 for no appeal to 100 for complete momentum.
Note the number, then ask the question again tomorrow: if your momentum stays close, the answer is likely to fit you.
Example questions
- How enthusiastic am I about this project today?
- How much do I want to start this activity this week?
- How much do I feel like tidying up this space this weekend?
A scale of feeling
The eleven sectors run from 0 to 100 in steps of 10. They measure nothing external: no chance of success, no probability that an event will happen. They express your buy-in of the moment to an option. A 60 simply expresses a nuanced desire, which may invite you to pinpoint what is missing to reach a clearer momentum.
Comparing two options
To choose between two paths, ask the same question for each, noting both percentages on a sheet of paper. The gap matters less than your reaction when you read the numbers: relief, disappointment, surprise. That reaction often sheds light on the choice. If the two results are close, the difference will probably come from somewhere else.
What the number does not say
A pendulum percentage has no statistical value. Blind trials have not shown that it informs you about the outside world, and it varies with mood, tiredness, and expectation. So do not take it for a probability, nor for a single decision criterion. For a money or legal question, a professional can advise you better.
Blind tests have done no better than chance: the movement is thought to come from small involuntary movements of the hand. Never ask a pendulum a question about health, money, or the law: see a professional.
Pendulum dial: your questions
Can you ask for the probability that an event will happen?
Versana advises against this kind of question. In controlled trials, pendulum answers do not exceed chance, and a number can seem more reliable than it is. The chart stays focused on your feeling of the day: how much an option attracts, motivates, or worries you.
Why does the pendulum sometimes give different numbers from one day to the next?
Because your feeling changes: mood, tiredness, or expectation influence the small movements of the hand. This is not a flaw in the chart. A difference from one day to the next shows rather that the option affects you differently, which can help you understand what you are really looking for.
