Alphabet pendulum chart: the 26 letters
The alphabet chart is for spelling a keyword letter by letter, letting the pendulum point to each letter of your choice.

Tap the sector the pendulum points to.
For you For you, the alphabet becomes a way to put a word on a still-vague impression, letter by letter, without trying to guess anyone’s name.
How to use it
Ask a question turned toward yourself, for example “Which word sums up what I feel?”, then let the pendulum settle at the center.
Note the letter the pendulum points to most clearly, then return to the starting point before looking for the next letter.
Stop when the word makes sense to you. If nothing forms after six letters, rephrase the question more simply.
Example questions
- Which word describes what I need right now?
- Which quality do I want to cultivate this week?
- Which word should I keep in mind before starting this day?
Spelling without rushing
One letter at a time, with a pause between each. Return to the starting point, wait for the weight to come to rest, then start again. This slowness is already part of the exercise: it gives you time to notice what you hope to see appear. If you guess the word before the end, that is normal and even instructive: note it as it is.
Reading a string of letters
A string of letters does not always form a whole word. It may suggest the start of a word, an initial, or a free association. Write the string on paper before interpreting it, then ask yourself what it reminds you of. The meaning comes from your reading, not from the pendulum: keep that distance, as it protects you from hasty conclusions.
What the chart does not do
The alphabet is not for finding a person’s name or identifying anyone. No double-blind trial has established that the pendulum brings information from outside. The chart helps you instead to name a word already present within you. A question about a budget, the law, or the body is a matter for a specialist.
Blind tests have done no better than chance: the movement is thought to come from small involuntary movements of the hand. Never ask a pendulum a question about health, money, or the law: see a professional.
Alphabet chart: your questions
How many letters should you spell at most?
There is no fixed rule. Many people stop between four and seven letters, when a word takes shape. Beyond that, tiredness and expectation take over from the movement. A short session followed by a break is better than a long series of letters that leads nowhere.
Can you use the alphabet for a yes or no question?
It is not the simplest option: the yes or no chart is made for that, with a “rephrase” sector. The alphabet suits open questions that call for a word: a quality, a wish, a theme. Choose the chart according to the shape of your question.
