At a glance
To write your report, we need your first names, your birth surname, and your date of birth; for a full birth chart reading, your first name and your date, time, and place of birth. They are used only to calculate and store your report. They are never sold, shared, or used for advertising. You can delete your report at any time from the bottom of its page.
Data controller
Thomas Guilhot, sole proprietor (French micro-entreprise) (SIRET 839 804 317 00031), publisher of the Versana website. Contact: contact@versana.shop.
Data processed
- For a report: first name, other first names (optional), birth surname, date of birth, and the date the report was created.
- For every report: the date it was first opened, recorded by the Versana server in the report itself when its page is viewed for the first time. Its only purpose is to let the publisher know that the link arrived. It is not a tracker: no cookie, no storage on your device, no IP address, no third-party service; it is deleted along with the report.
- For a full birth chart reading: first name, date of birth, time of birth (or the note “time unknown”), place of birth (name of the town or city, country, coordinates, and time zone), chosen settings (Lilith), and the date the report was created. They are sent only once, when you order, to the Versana server, which calculates the chart and stores them with the report; they never appear in the address of a page.
- For a compatibility reading (optional): the same information for a second person. By entering it, you confirm that you have their consent.
- IP address: kept in memory for one hour at most to limit the number of orders and prevent abuse; it is not stored with your report. The host also keeps technical logs (IP address, page requested, time) for a few days, as needed to run the site.
The calculators on the explanatory pages (“Calculate my life path number,” rising sign calculator, birth chart…) run entirely in your browser: what you type there is sent nowhere. Only ordering a report sends what you entered to the server.
Purpose and legal basis
Writing your report, storing it, and making it available to you through a personal link, online and as a PDF booklet. The processing is based on your consent, given by checking the consent box on the form.
Retention period
Your report is kept until you delete it, and at most 3 years after it was created: it is then deleted automatically. The same applies to a full birth chart reading: your date, time, and place of birth are deleted with it, and so is its PDF booklet. A report that the publisher removes (at your request, for example) first spends 30 days in a trash folder, inaccessible through its link, before being permanently deleted; the “Delete my report” button, on the other hand, erases everything immediately.
Who has access
Anyone you share the link to your report with can read it: keep it to yourself. The publisher can open it from a password-protected area to provide the service (checking a report, answering a request). The data is hosted by Vercel Inc. (United States): the pages and calculations are served from its Paris servers, and reports are stored in its private storage space, which may be located outside the European Union. Vercel participates in the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which governs these transfers.
Cookies and local storage
Versana statistics. To know which pages and tools are useful, and whether the site is fast, Versana does its own counting, without cookies and without storing anything on your device: pages read, tools used, reports opened, loading speed, errors. These are only daily totals: no IP address, no identifier, no first name, no date; the address of a report is replaced with a generic address. These totals, reserved for the publisher, are kept for 13 months. This strictly anonymous measurement does not require consent (rules of the CNIL, the French data protection authority, on audience measurement).
Audience measurement. Only with your consent (banner on your first visit, which you can change at any time through the “Cookies” link at the bottom of the page), the site uses Google Analytics, by Google Ireland Ltd, to count page views, the device used, and the approximate country. No report data is sent: the address of a report is replaced with a generic address, and the practitioner area is not measured. The data may be processed in the United States, under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework; it is kept for 14 months. Your choice is kept for 13 months, after which you are asked again. Without your consent, nothing is loaded.
The site uses no advertising cookies. If you choose a language at the bottom of the page, a “langue” cookie remembers it for one year, so that the versana.shop address then opens the home page in that language; it is not a tracker and contains only the language code. Your browser only stores, on your device:your reading progress and the chapters already read, the items checked in the journal, the chosen theme (light or dark), the “My reports” list (for each report opened on this device, up to eight: its address, its type, the first name shown, the date it was opened, and the chapter where you stopped, so you can return to it from the header; each report can be removed from it), and, for the duration of your visit, the first name or date entered in a calculator, reused in the compatibility test or the report form. This information is not sent to us; it is used only to make the pages work, and no consent is required.
Your rights
You can access your data, correct it, delete it, object to its processing, or request a copy. The simplest way: the “Delete my report” button, at the very bottom of your report’s page (after the last chapter), erases everything immediately. For any other request, write to contact@versana.shop and include the link to your report. If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can file a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).
