Meaning of Family

Family speaks of the circle of closeness. The card evokes parents, children, siblings, but also friends who have become essential and every person whose daily life you share. There is no single model: family is both inherited and chosen, in many forms.

In the Venus series, it underlines the warmth of the bond and solidarity. It invites you to tend what connects, to keep rituals, to give news, and to ask for help when needed. A solid circle is nourished by presence more than by grand speeches.

Its reverse side is the weight of roles: repeating old habits, or carrying alone what the group could share.

Family in your life

In love

In an affectionate bond, Family speaks of the place your relationship holds among loved ones: introducing yourselves, including yourself, building a home your own way.

At work

In your work, the card evokes team spirit and loyalty: a group where people help each other, or a project you lead with loved ones.

Family in a reading

In its position

Family puts the question under the sign of loved ones: the circle of support matters here, and deserves attention before any decision.

Venus series

Bonds: affection, pleasure, harmony, family life.

Pleasures, Peace, Union, Love, The Table, Passions

The Belline cards help you look at a situation from another angle: they predict nothing, and the choice remains yours.

Its place in the deck

Family is card 28 of the oracle, in the Venus series, which gathers cards 25 to 31. It stands near Union, Love, and the Table, cards that revolve around attachments and shared pleasures. Versana reads it for every kind of family, favoring none.

Where the sources disagree

  • Tone of the cards: A ranking set by the site from the name of each card, with no old source: 21 supportive cards, 14 demanding, 18 neutral. It gives the tone of a reading, never an answer or a yes or no.
  • Dominant series: When one planet comes up more often than the others in a reading (at least two cards), its series colors the interpretation. A modern reading rule, described by several guides; cards outside the series are not part of the count.
  • Images of the cards: The drawings attributed to the mage Edmond (died 1881) are old, but the cards published since 1961 and the Mucem photographs are not under a free license. The site draws its own pictograms and reproduces no card.
