The essentials

The Blue Card at a glance

For you, the Blue Card invites you to leave room for what you do not yet know, without filling the gap too quickly.

A strength

Open-mindedness: accepting that an answer has not formed yet and staying available.

Something to watch

Filling the blank with an invented certainty, or lending the card a meaning it does not give.

Meaning of the Blue Card

The Blue Card carries neither a number nor a planet, and that is its message. It says nothing about a specific theme: it reminds you that a situation always contains a part you do not control, a point the other cards do not cover.

You can read it as a question left open. Rather than looking for an answer right away, it suggests looking at what is missing: a piece of information, an opinion, a little time for things to become clearer.

Its reverse side is impatience: wanting to close the question at all costs, or projecting your fears onto it. A zone of the unknown is neither a favorable sign nor an unfavorable one.

The Blue Card in your life

In love

In matters of the heart, sincere curiosity beats an assumption: ask rather than guess what the other person feels.

At work

At work, one point is still pending: an incomplete file, a choice that needs more information before it is settled.

One, three, or seven cards, and the dominant planet: the interpretation starts with what the reading means for you.

The Blue Card in a reading

In its position

One slot stays open in the line: take the time to say what is missing before you conclude the reading.

Outside the series

Four cards stand apart from the planets: the blue card and Destiny, which widen the question, and the two Stars, which stand for people.

Destiny, The Star of Man, The Star of Woman

The Belline cards help you look at a situation from another angle: they predict nothing, and the choice remains yours.

Its place in the deck

Without a number, the Blue Card stays outside the seven planetary series, alongside Destiny and the two Stars. Versana sees it as an open question, never a destiny or a verdict. It serves as a blank page for the reading.

Reflecting on the Blue Card

A question

Which part of this situation do you admit you do not yet know?

A gesture

Write down three questions you cannot answer, then choose a person or a source to help you move forward on one of them.

Where the sources disagree

  • 52 or 53 cards: The deck published since 1961 has 53 cards: 52 numbered and the blue card, without a number. The 2025 edition drawn from the Mucem originals presents 52. The site follows the 53-card deck, the most widespread.
  • Role of the blue card: With no number or planet, it is read by authors as destiny, the unknown, or a card apart. The site keeps it in the deck and reads it as the part of the situation that is not yet written.
  • Tone of the cards: A ranking set by the site from the name of each card, with no old source: 21 supportive cards, 14 demanding, 18 neutral. It gives the tone of a reading, never an answer or a yes or no.
  • Images of the cards: The drawings attributed to the mage Edmond (died 1881) are old, but the cards published since 1961 and the Mucem photographs are not under a free license. The site draws its own pictograms and reproduces no card.
