When it goes off balance
When the 18 is clouded, imagination turns against you.
A minor ache becomes a serious illness in your head, an unanswered message announces a breakup, and a plane trip is prepared for with sleepless nights. Fears pile up, all the way to phobias, and you avoid elevators, driving, or crowds. Some people take refuge in a parallel world: series watched back to back until dawn, online games, alcohol or substances to stop feeling the anxiety. Others doubt everything, from package inserts to prescriptions to an expert’s advice, and lock themselves into theories. Resentment sets in, with grievances chewed over for years, especially toward the mother. Small lies, office intrigues, and the temptation to influence someone through occult practices are also among the drifts. These states often follow a betrayal, a grief poorly worked through, or a long stretch of sleep deprivation.
