When it goes off balance
When the 17 goes off balance, the light wants to be seen at any cost.
You talk louder than everyone else at dinner, you tell of your exploits, you post ten photos a day while watching for reactions. Or the dream replaces life: grand projects never started, afternoons spent on listings for seaside houses, lottery tickets bought every week while waiting for the stroke of luck. Conversely, some dimmed 17s no longer dream at all: daily life shrinks to bills, errands, and security, boredom sets in, and you wait for an outside event to restart the machine. Criticism then turns acid: everything is mediocre, the colleagues, the city, the movies. These drifts often appear after a talent mocked in childhood, a public failure, or years of working far from what you are passionate about.
