When it goes off balance
When the 10 goes off balance, luck becomes an obsession or an excuse.
Some wait for the stroke of fortune that will settle everything: scratch-off tickets every week, sports betting, miracle investments praised by a friend, projects launched without a plan and dropped at the first obstacle. Others sink into fatalism: “it never works for me anyway,” and the day is spent on the couch, with paperwork put off until the following month. The opposite excess also appears: trying to control everything, wearing yourself out forcing a closed door, refusing to learn a related trade that would open a way out. Compulsive buying, consumer loans that pile up, and odd jobs strung together without direction are signs of it. These drifts often arise after a series of failures, a job loss, or a period of forced immobility.
