How is the card chosen?
The card of the day depends only on the date: everyone sees the same one today. The site runs through the 53 cards one after another, each once per cycle, in an order shuffled in advance at the start of each new cycle.
Nothing is drawn for you in particular, and nothing is sent: the date is read in your browser. For a personal question, the one-, three-, or seven-card reading suits better.

Why does everyone have the same card of the day?
Only the date counts. The cards follow one another in a shuffled order, and each comes back once per cycle: it is a shared theme, not a reading drawn for you.
What is the difference from the card reading?
The reading answers a question you ask, with cards shuffled for you. The card of the day only offers a theme for reflection, identical for every visitor.
Can the card of the day announce my day?
No. It foresees nothing: it is a sentence, a question, and an action to direct your attention. Keep what speaks to you and leave the rest.
Does the card change if I reload the page?
No, it stays the same until midnight. The site reads the date in your browser; on a new day, a new card appears, with nothing sent.
