Ehwaz

The essentials

For you, Ehwaz invites you to lean on a relationship of trust, to get further than by relying on your own strength alone.

trust, cooperation, progress

The meaning of Ehwaz

A question

Who do you move forward with in step, and on what condition does this agreement hold?

A gesture

Ask a person you trust for honest feedback on a current project, and offer them a favor in return.

This rune opens a reflection for the day without announcing anything: keep only what speaks to you.

A question of your own?

For a question of your own, draw your own runes: one for advice, three to read a situation.

How is the rune chosen?

One rune applies to the whole day, and to every visitor: only the date matters. The 24 runes rotate at a rate of one per day; over 24 days, each one comes back once, and the order is reshuffled at the start of each new cycle. It is always read upright.

The page is prepared on Paris time, then your browser checks the date where you are: if it has changed, the rune shown changes with it. No reading is drawn in your name, and no data leaves the page. If you have a specific question, draw one or three runes instead.

Frequently asked questions: the rune of the day

Why is the rune of the day the same for everyone?

Only the date matters: every visitor receives the same rune, with no reading drawn in their name. It is a shared theme for the day, like a phrase to keep in mind.

How is it different from a rune reading?

A reading answers your question of the moment, with one or three runes shuffled for you. The rune of the day is a common reference point and does not take your situation into account.

Can the rune of the day come up reversed?

No, it is always read upright, to keep things simple. If you like reading reversals, the free reading offers that option.

What should I do with the rune of the day?

Read its meaning sentence, then the question and the action it suggests. Keep what speaks to you; if nothing resonates, set it aside, as it promises nothing.
