Taurus Sun, Aries rising: the meaning
Neighbors on the wheel, the Taurus of May meadows and the Aries of the equinox have almost nothing in common: one is stable, receptive earth, the other a flame just catching.
For Ptolemy, two adjacent signs stayed blind to each other, with no configuration to link them. The Aries rising sign gives the helm to Mars; the Taurus Sun, for its part, depends on Venus. The first contact is therefore Martian: a firm handshake, a direct sentence, a wish to get straight to the point.
What follows is Taurean. The person who proposed repainting the whole apartment in one weekend ends up choosing each shade with infinite care, then maintains the walls for fifteen years. At work, they volunteer for a difficult file and then carry it through with metronome regularity. The people around them quickly learn that the apparent impatience hides great reliability.
The downside would come from a mix of temper and obstinacy. Aries reacts fast, sometimes too fast; Taurus then refuses to take back what was said. A quarrel that started with a clumsy word can thus last for weeks. The Libra descendant would show another way: listening to the other person’s argument before answering, and accepting that a compromise is not a defeat. Those close to them gain a great deal by understanding that this abrupt temperament is also one of the most loyal.
