Taurus Sun, Scorpio rising: the meaning
Taurus and Scorpio face each other on the wheel: 180 degrees separate them, but they share the fixed mode and yin polarity.
This Taurus-Scorpio axis sets the granary against the still: keeping intact or transmuting, possessing alone or sharing. With the Scorpio rising sign, Mars rules this facade, backed by Pluto among the moderns. The person observes before speaking, gives away little of themselves, and impresses with their gaze.
Behind this intensity, the Sun in Taurus is calm and earthy. You discover someone who loves simple pleasures, nature, good food, tenderness. They build patiently, save, protect. The combination gives a great capacity for commitment: in friendship, in love, at work, they choose few but for good. They also know how to keep the secrets entrusted to them.
The downside would be excess attachment. Two opposite fixed signs can make a person very possessive, very resentful, very resistant to change. A betrayal, even an old one, stays present; a loss, even a material one, is lived as a wound. The Taurus descendant paradoxically recalls the Sun: the person would look in the other for the stability they already have, and would gain by recognizing their own quiet strength. Accepting that a relationship evolves, without seeing betrayal in it, would be the great lesson of this axis.
