Taurus Sun, Leo rising: the meaning
Taurus and Leo are both fixed, attached to what lasts, but one is earth and the other fire.
Their square describes a tension between two wills: the will to possess and the will to radiate. With the Leo rising sign, the Sun becomes ruler of the chart. You notice at once a carriage of the head, a steady voice, a way of taking a place at the center of the table. You notice their voice, their clothes, their quiet assurance.
The Sun in Taurus gives this radiance a material base. The combination loves beautiful things, refined tables, houses with character, and knows how to give itself the means to get them, through patient work. It gives generously, hosts lavishly, protects those it loves. Its loyalty is great, and so is its generosity, provided what it contributes is acknowledged.
The downside would be rigidity. Taurus and Leo, both fixed, can produce an impressive stiffness: the position is defended on principle, and public contradiction is felt as an affront. Conflicts, rare, become arm-wrestling matches. The Aquarius descendant would suggest another kind of nobility: one that lets go, loves without possessing, and welcomes other people’s ideas, even at the cost of changing one’s mind. Giving way on a detail is sometimes winning what matters, and this Taurus often learns it with age.
