Scorpio Sun, Taurus rising: the meaning
May looks at November across the circle: two fixed signs in opposition, the clod facing the deep water.
Venus presides over the horizon, Mars over the Sun, with Pluto in support for the moderns: desire and will, pleasure and depth. The first impression is reassuring; the person settles in comfortably, orders a good wine, listens without haste, and one feels safe at their side.
The luminary stands in the west, in the 7th house: relationship becomes the place where the depths are revealed. Couple, partnership, twenty-year friendship: each bond is lived with unusual intensity. They commit seldom, but for a long time, and expect the same loyalty in return. Managing an inheritance, a family home, or a portfolio suits them, so keen is their sense of value and duration.
The axis of the two fixed signs has its downside: doubled stubbornness. Taurus refuses change, Scorpio refuses to lose; a disagreement over money or fidelity can fester for years. The person may also be possessive, toward people as toward things. Learning to let go, to leave the other free, would be their great lesson.
