Capricorn Sun, Aries rising: the meaning
The Aries of the equinox and the Capricorn of the winter solstice each open a season: two cardinal signs, quick to begin, but the first through fire, the second through earth.
Their square describes a productive tension. Mars presides over the rising sign, Saturn over the Sun sign, and tradition gives Mars its exaltation in Capricorn. In an office, this person is easy to spot: a firm handshake, short sentences, a file under the arm, a calendar already full for the month.
At noon, the Sun sits at the top of the chart, in the 10th house: career, renown, and rank become major stakes. They dream of raising a structure visible from afar: a company, a department, a work signed with their own name. They climb the rungs with energy, unafraid of responsibility or hard decisions. Others see them as a locomotive: they pull, decide, take ownership, and answer for their choices without ducking.
The square is paid for in hardness. Mars grows impatient, Saturn demands; the person can be curt with those who do not keep their pace, or with themselves when a goal resists. Rest looks like wasted time. Opposite the rising sign, the scales of Libra would point to the counterweight: lending an ear, compromising, admitting that one also succeeds through understanding and consideration.
