Capricorn Sun, Libra rising: the meaning
October and January cross at a right angle: two cardinal signs, breath and clod, grace and toil.
Venus presides over the horizon, Saturn over the foundation; and Saturn is exalted precisely under the scales. Elegant, measured, amiable: they compliment at the right moment, truly listen, and beneath the charm you sense a remarkable self-control. Nothing seems to irritate them, on the surface.
The Sun rests at the nadir, in the 4th house: lineage, home, and origins weigh heavily. This combination builds a solid, elegant home, maintains the family house, takes charge of aging parents, preserves an inheritance. They may carry their family name with pride and responsibility, and see their career as a way to protect their own. The family meals they organize are run like ceremonies, and everyone finds a place. They keep the archives, the photos, the recipes, and feel responsible for passing them on.
The square creates a tension between image and duty. Pleasing on one side, succeeding on the other: their own desires often come after other people’s expectations, and worries hide behind an impeccable smile. They can also be cold in private. The Aries on the descendant would preach frankness; its representatives, blunt, force them to name their wishes. With time, they learn to put themselves first, without guilt.
