The 3rd decan of Leo: the meaning
After Jupiter comes Mars in the Chaldean order, so it rules the end of Leo.
The triplicities arrive at the same ruler, since the third decan goes to Aries, the first fire sign, which Mars rules. Two methods, a single planet: tradition sees in it the alliance of the solar heart and martial energy, a Leo that is not content to shine but fights.
One would picture a person ready to enter a public-speaking contest, to defend a colleague unjustly disciplined, to run a marathon for a charity. They like to win, but above all they like to fight for something worthwhile, and their loyalty to their side never wavers. Team sports, entrepreneurship, and jobs where you have to persuade and hold firm would suit them. Their energy pulls the most hesitant along.
The downside would be combative pride. A remark in public, a loss at a game, a rejected project could set off a disproportionate reaction. The fear of losing face would sometimes push toward stubbornly staying on a wrong path. Knowing how to step back without seeing it as humiliation, and acknowledging an opponent’s worth, would make this courage more lasting and more respected. The finest victories of this decan would often be those won for someone else.
