Frequently asked questions about the April zodiac sign

What is the zodiac sign for an April birth?

Aries for roughly the first two ten-day periods, Taurus afterward. The day of the changeover is not the same every spring; the grid of years, further up, gives it for 90 vintages, with the time. On the other days, the sign can be read directly, with no calculation or birth time: April 10 is always Aries, April 28 always Taurus.

Born on the day the sign changes in April: Aries or Taurus?

The answer depends on the time, and April time is daylight saving time. Since the table is also in legal time, the comparison is made directly with the time on the certificate: before the indicated moment, the Sun is still in Aries; after it, it has moved into Taurus. For a birth outside France, the tool converts the local time.

Does daylight saving time change the zodiac sign?

It does not change the Sun’s position, but it does change the time written in the registers. A difference of one hour can tip the answer if the birth takes place near the moment of the sign change. That is why the calculation always converts legal time to universal time, taking into account the rules in force in the year of birth.
