North Node in Gemini: the meaning
On this point of the Moon’s orbit, the modern reading places a direction to learn, and on its opposite a knowledge already acquired.
When the Dragon’s Head is in Gemini, the Dragon’s Tail lies in Sagittarius. Familiar ground would therefore be that of global meaning: having an opinion on everything, tying things to a philosophy, convincing. The proposed direction looks more modest on the surface: asking questions, accepting not knowing, taking an interest in the other person’s actual words rather than in what they should think.
Picture a family meal where a debate on the news gets going. The South Node reflex would be to lay out a complete vision and defend your truth through dessert. The North Node pole would suggest instead asking where your uncle got his information, reading the article he mentions, restating his point of view before answering it. The downside of this direction, if misunderstood, would be scattering: twenty tabs open, three languages begun, none studied in depth.
This placement takes nothing away from the generosity of Sagittarius, or from its sense of adventure. It would only suggest anchoring it in dialogue, writing, and ties with siblings, neighbors, and colleagues. As a sign of Mercury, Gemini gives the North Node a character of permanent learning: reading, writing, and getting around close to home would become fields of practice rather than minor details.
