North Node in Sagittarius: the meaning
This point of the Moon’s orbit travels up the zodiac against the flow, staying about a year and a half in each sign.
In Sagittarius, a fire sign ruled by Jupiter, it would designate a direction of expansion, turned toward the distant. Its counterpart in Gemini would describe familiar ground: knowing a little about everything, connecting pieces of information, discussing with ease, changing your mind as fast as you adopt a new one. The evolutionary reading would see in this axis the passage from scattered knowledge to chosen wisdom, from the permanent question to the answer you own.
Examples abound. Comparing fifteen online reviews before booking a trip, then giving up for lack of being able to decide; following six short courses without ever finishing a degree; having a nuanced opinion on everything, but no cause to commit to. This North Node pole would encourage crossing those thresholds: leaving, studying in depth, defending an idea. Its downside would be proselytizing, conviction that no longer listens, or flight toward an elsewhere that is always farther away.
Nothing requires giving up Gemini’s curiosity: it keeps Sagittarius from becoming dogmatic. The challenge would be to give it a heading. The node’s house, which requires knowing the exact time, would show where this search for meaning would play out most: studies, partnership, work, inner life.
