Venus opposition Jupiter: the meaning
A person who keeps company with friends always wealthier or more extravagant than themselves, who gets swept into group spending beyond their means, who receives a great deal from a generous relationship and wonders how to give back: the Venus-Jupiter opposition has this dynamic of exchange.
Venus and Jupiter face each other at 180°. Venus in Sagittarius, in Jupiter’s own sign, facing a Jupiter in exile in Gemini, would set a taste for romantic adventure against a scattered intellectual curiosity.
The person often lives generosity and pleasure through those around them. They meet generous, influential people who open doors for them, or on the contrary partners who expect a great deal from them. These relationships make them reflect on balance: what they give, what they receive, what they are ready to offer without wearing themselves out. They thus develop a fine sense of reciprocity and a great capacity for welcome.
The downside would be imbalance. Giving too much to be loved, or letting themselves be carried by the generosity of others without building anything themselves. They can also be drawn into collective excesses, parties, spending, promises, that do not suit them. The challenge is to find their own measure, to know how to say no to an invitation as to a request, and to love without counting or losing themselves.
