Jupiter conjunction Saturn: the meaning
The two slowest planets visible without a telescope meet about every twenty years.
The most recent conjunctions took place in 1980-1981, in Virgo and then Libra, in May 2000 in Taurus, and on December 21, 2020 at the very start of Aquarius, when Jupiter and Saturn appeared so close in the evening sky that they looked like a single star. Everyone born in the months around these dates carries this configuration, so its reading is first of all collective.
In a personal chart, the conjunction would join two complementary principles: expansion and structure, confidence and caution, growth and limit. The person would have a taste for big projects and a sense of what it takes to carry them out. They understand early that success is built over time. Their relationship to authority, law, and institutions is often serious; they like solid frameworks that let them grow.
To know what this conjunction says about a particular person, you have to look at the house where it falls and the links it forms with the fast planets of the chart and its four angles. Placed near the Midheaven, it would mark the career; in the fourth house, family and inheritance. Its possible downside would be a swing between enthusiasm and discouragement, as if drive and brake took turns fighting for the wheel.
