Jupiter conjunction Neptune: the meaning
Jupiter catches up with Neptune about every thirteen years.
The recent meetings took place in 1984 in Capricorn, in 1997 on the border of Aquarius, in 2009 in Aquarius with three exact passes, and on April 12, 2022 in Pisces, a sign that tradition attributes to both planets. Each pass affects a crowd of births: it first expresses a collective sensibility, an era drawn toward humanitarian work, spirituality, or the imagination, before it sheds light on any one life.
When it falls on an intimate point of the chart, this conjunction would describe a generous, idealistic soul. The person believes in human goodness, is moved by injustice, and commits to causes larger than themselves. They often have a vast imagination and a taste for music, poetry, great stories, and journeys that mean something. Their faith, religious or not, carries them and gives them a deep trust in the future. The people around them find sincere comfort in their company.
The downside would be illusion: believing promises that are too good to be true, idealizing people or projects that do not deserve it, giving without measure. They may also flee into dreams when reality disappoints. Keeping one foot in the concrete, checking, running the numbers, and asking for advice before big decisions spare them many disillusionments. Grounded in this way, the conjunction becomes a source of inspiration for a whole circle of people, and sometimes for many beyond it.
