Mercury commands the east, Zeus the core, each exiled in the other’s home. You meet someone discreet, organized, who writes the appointment in a spiral notebook, corrects a date, and is already drawing up the list of things to bring.
The Sun hides at the bottom of the sky, in the 4th house: family, home, and roots matter a great deal to this Centaur. It may be a family house to which they return each summer, a lineage whose history they reconstruct, a home open to friends who come from afar. Sagittarius’s search for meaning is often expressed here through family transmission: telling the origins, preserving knowledge, raising children who are curious about the world.
The square has its price, however. Virgo doubts, Sagittarius runs away with it: the person alternates big resolutions and paralyzing scruples, prepares a trip for months and then hesitates at the moment of departure. They praise carefree living while checking the train time three times. Pisces on the descendant would invite them to let go, in the company of dreamy, trusting partners who make room for the unexpected.
Attentive, faithful, curious about the other, the combination prepares meticulously organized surprises: a trip planned to the hour, a birthday whose scale no one suspected.
Pisces, in the west, would have them cross paths with dreamy, intuitive, somewhat disorganized people. Their vagueness worries and attracts them at once. Accepting that love cannot be planned entirely would make them lighter and more tender.

Each would inhabit the opposing home. The authors saw in this the conflict of the magnifying glass and the spyglass, of the meticulous inventory and the overall vision, which life would gradually teach one to reconcile.
