Aries Sun, Virgo rising: the meaning
Nothing brings Aries, cardinal and yang fire, close to Virgo, mutable and yin earth, at first glance.
The quincunx that separates them was regarded by the ancients as a relationship of aversion: the two signs do not see each other. With the Virgo rising sign, Mercury becomes ruler of the chart. The person approaches others with restraint, observes, asks precise questions, and notices what is off before speaking up.
The Sun in Aries, for its part, cannot stand things dragging. The combination would give a formidable efficiency when the two get along: Aries decides to move, Virgo makes the table of boxes, books the truck, and labels every room. At work, this gives a person who spots the problem, proposes the solution, and carries it out the same day. Few combinations pair speed and precision so well.
The downside would be a permanent inner tension. Aries wants to act, Virgo wants it perfect: the person may criticize themselves harshly, or criticize others for their slowness and mistakes. The Pisces descendant would recall a less visible virtue, indulgence: accepting vagueness, the unexpected, the clumsiness of loved ones, and forgiving themselves for not always living up to their own standards.
