Sun conjunction Moon: the meaning
Each month, the Moon catches up with the Sun and disappears in its light: that is the new moon.
Being born at that moment puts the two luminaries of the chart in the same sign, often in the same house. The Sun, which describes conscious direction, and the Moon, which describes needs and reflexes, overlap. This birth would spare you the common tug-of-war between ambition and refuge: the project and the comfort speak the same language. Someone born in Taurus under this configuration, for example, would have a search for stability that is both wanted and felt.
This unity gives strength. When this person commits, they do so wholeheartedly, with no second thoughts. They quickly know what suits them. Dane Rudhyar and his successors see the new moon as a starting point: a nature turned toward beginnings, impulse, the seed rather than the harvest. The sign and house of the conjunction then concentrate a good part of the chart.
The downside would be the lack of a mirror. Since nothing contradicts the inner impulse, the person may lack distance from their own reactions and be surprised that others see things differently. Relationships play a valuable role here: they bring the outside point of view that the chart does not supply spontaneously. A frank friend, a partner who dares to disagree, become allies.
