Sun sextile Moon: the meaning
The thin crescent that appears at dusk two or three days after the new moon, or the one that precedes dawn before it: that is the sky of a Sun sextile Moon birth.
The two luminaries are two signs apart, in elements that get along, fire with air or earth with water. A Sun in Gemini and a Moon in Leo, for example, would combine curiosity and emotional warmth. This person finds it fairly easy to reconcile their wants and their needs.
This sextile works like a quiet agreement between head and heart. You know how to make room for rest when a project is pressing, and you also know how to get going when comfort becomes too cozy. Relationships with those around you benefit: the person inspires a certain calm, because they are rarely at war with themselves. In the cycle of the lunation, the evening crescent belongs to the waxing phase, when an intention takes shape, and the morning crescent to the waning phase, when you draw the lessons.
Ease does have its downside, though. An inner agreement without friction can put ambition to sleep. The person risks settling for what works and not pushing a talent all the way when it would demand sacrifices. Like any sextile, this one gives mostly when you call on it: setting a goal that stretches your habits a little wakes up this latent cooperation.
