Sun trine Moon: the meaning
A nearly full moon, rounded, already lighting country roads in the early evening: that is the gibbous moon.
Being born at that time, before or after the full moon, places the Sun and Moon four signs apart, generally in the same element. A Sun in Leo and a Moon in Sagittarius, for example, would blend pride and enthusiasm in a single fire. Desires and needs are alike enough to cooperate without negotiation.
The result is often an impression of calm. The person rarely feels divided; they can rest without guilt and commit without anxiety. Those around them sense this stability and gladly come to them for a serene opinion. Family relationships, in particular, would be eased: tradition associated the Sun with the father and the Moon with the mother, and their accord with a childhood perceived as coherent, without that telling us anything about specific facts.
The downside of this ease is avoidance. When everything fits together, you can flee useful conflicts, decisions that shake things up, and the questioning that would help you grow. The trine gives a foundation; it does not supply the drive to move beyond it. The tensions found elsewhere in the chart, squares or oppositions, are often the ones that put this harmony to work for a project.
