2nd house in Scorpio: the meaning
Nobody really knows how much a person earns whose second house opens in Scorpio.
You speak little about money but think about it a lot, and manage it with a definite strategic sense: considered investments, fixer-upper properties bought, struggling businesses taken over and then turned around. Your marketable talents would be tenacity, analysis, an eye for flaws and hidden opportunities: auditing, investments, insurance claims to assess, sensitive cases. Loyalty and depth count for you more than anything. You sometimes go through financial reversals, losing everything and then rebuilding it all, and come out stronger.
Mars, the traditional ruler of Scorpio, and Pluto, its modern ruler, frame these resources. Mars tells where the energy that pays comes from: in the 10th house, a demanding career; in the 6th, relentless work; in the 8th, shared money, inheritance, or managing for others. Pluto, very slow, is read by its house: in the 2nd house itself, it would sharpen the cycles of loss and rebuilding even more. Mars exalted in Capricorn would add discipline. In a chart cast for Paris, this cusp almost always follows a Libra rising sign: an amiable manner, beneath which hides a far more calculated management.
The dark side would be extremism. Betting everything on one throw, keeping financial secrets from loved ones, using money as a means of control, or clinging to a lost investment out of pride: you may put yourself in danger. The 8th house in Taurus, opposite, offers the wisdom of patience: sharing simply, keeping solid assets, preferring stability to a gamble.
