Saturn square Pluto: the meaning
In 1993, Saturn in Aquarius crossed Pluto in Scorpio at a right angle; between November 2009 and August 2010, it was Saturn in Libra’s turn to form three squares with Pluto in Capricorn, in the midst of the economic crisis in Europe.
Children born in those years almost all carry this square: it speaks first of an era of pressure and forced reorganization. For any one of them, it only gains weight through the house it occupies and the personal planets it touches. On its own, it remains a backdrop.
When an intimate point relays it, this square would pit two forces against each other: the structure that wants to maintain and the transformation that wants to destroy in order to rebuild. The person goes through periods of constraint, resistance, and sometimes loss, which force them to reinvent themselves. They develop an extraordinary capacity for resistance, and learn to turn pressure into energy for rebuilding. Those close to them admire their tenacity in the hardest moments.
The possible downside would be tension: refusing necessary change, or wearing themselves out trying to control everything. They may also be hard, on themselves as on those around them, in the name of efficiency. Agreeing to let go of what must end, and asking for support in heavy periods, turns this tension into quiet strength. Many people with this configuration show their full measure in crises, when others lose their footing.
