Lilith in Virgo: the meaning
A mutable earth sign under the aegis of Mercury, Virgo sorts, adjusts, improves.
Lilith does not appear here as a celestial body: she is a geometric construction, the place where the Moon would be farthest if its irregularities were smoothed out. Modern interpreters would read in it a rigor that is not up for debate. A badly built spreadsheet you are asked to validate without checking, a procedure that wastes two hours for nothing, a contradictory instruction: these would set off a stubborn resistance in the person.
This refusal can go in two directions. Sometimes it targets rules judged absurd, which the person works around with methodical skill. Sometimes it turns back on themselves, in the form of a standard that no result satisfies. In both cases, the stake would be the same: not letting someone else define what good work is. You notice it in the person who reworks a report at midnight, or who refuses to sign a document they have not reread.
The downside concerns the relationship to service. Lilith in Virgo would put up poorly with being reduced to usefulness, with being constantly called on to correct, repair, bail out. She can also be curt with those who work differently. Nuanced readings suggest accepting different quality thresholds depending on the stakes, and telling what deserves perfection from what only needs to be done.
