Moon square Neptune: the meaning
A person who wakes at three in the morning with anxiety about nothing in particular, who lends money to someone everyone else distrusts, who devotes themselves to a parent to the point of forgetting themselves: the Moon-Neptune square mixes compassion and confusion.
The planet of the night meets the planet of mists at a right angle twice a month. A Moon in Gemini and a Neptune in Pisces, for example, would set the need to understand against a sensitivity that escapes words.
The person often grew up in a hazy emotional climate: an idealized or absent parent, family secrets, an atmosphere that had to be guessed. They keep from it a great finesse for reading silences, but also a difficulty knowing what they really feel. They sometimes carry the morale of the whole household on their shoulders, or surround themselves with fragile people they would like to help. Their inner life is rich, peopled with images.
The downside is confusion. Idealizing a relationship, telling yourself stories, fleeing into sleep, series, or other escapes when reality weighs: Neptune in square can make you lose your footing. Checking facts, setting clear limits, and giving this sensitivity a well-structured creative or volunteer outlet: these are the supports usually advised. With time, doubt becomes discernment.
