North Node in the 7th house: the meaning
Opposite the rising sign, the descendant opens the 7th house, an angular house: that of alliances, marriage, partners, and, in tradition, declared adversaries.
The North Node here would indicate learning through the other: listening, negotiating, committing, accepting a partner’s influence. The South Node, lodged in the 1st house, would designate the already familiar ground of autonomy, initiative, a strong identity that prefers to move forward without waiting for anyone.
An example: a person who starts a business alone, refuses partners, and ends up overwhelmed because they never learned to delegate. Or a love life made of short relationships, broken off as soon as habits have to be adjusted. The node in the 7th house would suggest learning alliance: signing a balanced contract, consulting your spouse before an important choice, accepting a compromise. Even a vacation plan, prepared together rather than imposed, would become a small training ground. The downside would be existing only through your couple, or making concessions until you disappear.
The South Node in the 1st house is not to be disowned: courage and personal confidence help in choosing a partner rather than enduring one. The idea would be to put this strength in the service of a shared construction. The node’s sign would color this relational path: in Scorpio, deep and intense bonds; in Virgo, a practical and precise collaboration. It would never be about fading away, but about learning reciprocity.
