Unique number 2: the meaning
The High Priestess sits veiled, a large open book before her.
You wait before committing, and your discretion inspires trust in those who confide in you. She does not rush: she reads, she retains, she waits until she has grasped the whole. The 2 carries this quality of attention. Where others act in order to know, it prefers to know in order to act.
Applied to a whole profile, the 2 draws a person who takes the temperature of a group before finding a place in it, who quietly notices who gets along with whom, and whose rare opinions hit the mark. She cooperates more than she leads, and people often come to confide what they leave unsaid elsewhere. The downside: a reserve that sometimes makes others think she has nothing to say.
The 2 also serves as a backdrop to 11 and 20, whose pages give it a secondary, nuancing role. There it plays the discretion that helps the other value express itself, and reminds us that knowing how to listen is already a way of acting.
A tip
Next time you notice a point nobody else has raised, say it out loud, even in a single sentence, before the conversation ends.
How is it calculated?
Active + hereditary + life path (each from 1 to 9), with no reduction up to 22: an echo of the 22 major arcana (specific to Fermier).
Frequently asked questions: unique number 2
Why can’t my unique number be 2?
Because the three numbers added, active, hereditary, and life path, are each worth at least 1: their sum therefore starts at 3. If a calculator gives you 2, it follows another method, or it reduced an 11 or a 20. See those pages, where the 2 appears as a nuance.
What does the High Priestess represent for unique number 2?
She illustrates reserve, study, and knowledge acquired slowly. She is cited because her rank among the major arcana matches the 2, and because her posture, seated before an open book, sums up the attention proper to this number. She has no divinatory role in this reading.
