Venus in the 11th house: the meaning
Succedent, the eleventh house concerns friends, protectors, networks, associations, and hopes.
It answers to Aquarius in the natural zodiac, and Jupiter rejoices there according to tradition. The Greek authors called it the “Good Spirit,” a sign of a favorable place. Venus finds a welcoming ground here. A person with this position keeps childhood friends, organizes the annual reunion, introduces people to each other, knows whom to contact to find an apartment or a job, and gladly does so for others.
Friendships are often warm and nourishing. The circle includes artistic, agreeable, or influential people. Collective projects bring real pleasure: a neighborhood association, a band, a volunteer festival. Love can be born within the circle of friends, and the couple readily keeps a strong dimension of friendship. Hopes are tinged with idealism: a more beautiful, fairer, more supportive world.
The downside is scattering. By dint of being surrounded, you may avoid the demanding intimacy of face-to-face meeting, or feel obliged to be available to everyone. Social relations can also mask an inner loneliness. The opposite sector, that of play and creation, invites you to cultivate a pleasure that is truly your own as well: existing as an individual, not only as a well-liked member of the group. A solitary hobby, a passion no one else shares, helps with this.
