Soul connection at a glance

For you, this feeling deserves to be welcomed without being taken as a verdict: it says something about you, and the relationship is judged afterward by its actions.

What you feel

Many people describe a meeting where everything feels familiar: a conversation that flows, an immediate trust, the impression of having already known the other person. This feeling is real and can be very strong; no one needs to deny it. The words of spirituality, soul connection, soulmate, soul family, give it a meaning that goes beyond chance. They do not, however, supply a criterion for knowing what the bond is worth.

Synchronicity according to Jung

In 1952, in a work published with the physicist Wolfgang Pauli, Carl Gustav Jung called synchronicity the coming together of two events with no causal link, but charged with meaning in the eyes of the person who notices them. Crossing paths with the same person several times, or thinking of them just before their message, can thus take on a particular value. Jung speaks of the meaning one finds in it, not of proof that two souls are linked.

The frequency illusion

When a person occupies our thoughts, we notice more of everything connected to them: their name on a poster, a song, an hour that keeps coming back. Psychologists call this mechanism the frequency illusion. It takes nothing away from the emotion felt; it only invites you not to count coincidences as proof.

What you can observe

To know what a bond is worth, the facts say more than the intensity of the first moment: the other person’s consistency, their word kept, respect for your limits, a wish to see each other again that comes from both sides. Take the time to look at them. A connection felt as deep can become a good relationship; it can also remain a beautiful moment, and both have their value.

Soul connection: your questions

How do I know if it is a soul connection?

Nothing allows us to establish it with certainty, and Versana offers neither a sign nor a test. The feeling of recognition is real, but it speaks first of what the meeting awakens in you. What can be verified, over time, is behavior: reciprocity, consistency, respect for your choices.

Does a soul connection have to be mutual?

No. You can feel a very strong familiarity without the other person sharing it, or live it with a different intensity. This gap is no one’s fault. A relationship is built by two people: what the other person expresses and does counts as much as what you feel.

Can a soul connection be a friendship?

Yes. The impression of immediate familiarity is also lived in friendship, in a family, or among coworkers; online spirituality then readily speaks of a soul family. Nothing requires you to read this feeling as romantic, or to give it a name.
