9th house in Libra: the meaning
A semester abroad lived mostly through the friendships made there, a honeymoon prepared for months, a passion for international law or art history: the 9th house in Libra connects the horizon to the other person.
A cardinal air sign, Libra aims at harmony and fair proportion. Convictions here would form in contact with other people, and a philosophy would be judged by its elegance as much as by its soundness. The question of fairness, between peoples, between individuals, would come up often.
Venus, ruler of Libra, takes the controls here. The house where Venus sits locates this quest for harmony: in the 7th house, a partner might open the doors to foreign lands or another way of thinking; in the 11th, international friendships; in the 2nd, an aesthetic knowledge that becomes a source of income. Saturn, exalted in this sign, would give, if it sits here, a keen sense of the law. And a Sun in this 9th house would find its joy there, even though Libra is the sign of its fall.
The weakness would be indecision. Hesitating between two countries, two programs, two views of the world, to the point of letting others decide; adopting the ideas of the person you love to avoid conflict. The 3rd house in Aries, on the other side, gives the remedy: giving your opinion frankly to those close to you, without detours, and accepting that the debate is sometimes lively.
